Finally finished up the trailer last night just in time for an inaugural 600 mile loop(only 400 with the trailer thanks to kevin!).
5:45 alarm goes off. 6am in the truck on the way to gas station for petrol and air pressure. 6:20 journey to dyno solutions in danbury starts. Arrive at John's place around 8:20 and we strap the bike up to the dyno.
we go through the tuneboy software quickly, then prep the bike/hook it up to the dyno and do some warm up pulls. baseline pull is 100.xx hp SAE corrected and low 40's lbs torque. after messing around for an hour we have a perfectly tuned bike doing about 105.8 hp and 49.5 lbs torque!!!!
John did GREAT work and even came in early to help me out with my hectic timing for the day...big thanks, John! Worth every penny and I haven't even tried it yet
Queue Robbie stage left to join me for the remainder of the day's travels.
load bike up again and off we go to bellingham mass to see peter kates at GMD. I don't have space to disassemble my bike and leave it that way for a week or two, so pete has to do the R and R for me. better that way since I don't have enough time lately to do it properly myself. left bike there and will pick up next week.
the triumph had it's suspension done by GP suspension; unfortunately, i'm much bigger than the 190 lbs rider it was setup for so Pete will be re-springing it for my tubby ass and getting it dialed in.
So, a LONG day in the car has brought me much closer to completing prep for the upcoming season. very few things left now:
pick up bike
put numbers on
switch CCT
wire up transponder
jumping through all the hoops I hope we have decent weather for round 1!
