I'm at the track, riding and seeing for myself, the crystal ball is on the other end
I'm not advising anyone on what to do, I am saying for myself I will not be here for even a practice, even of it were free. I've always supported new layouts and asked for them such as tight-ten and I run many other tracks. This is't a planned alternate track, It's a micky mouse fix with bare conceret walls. The track will be plenty safe, as long as no one crashes, passes agressively, or runs tight or wide into a cone.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
I dream of "The Isle of Mann". You guys are pussies. I did all sorts of street racing. Just go and race. Did you ever see that wall at the bowl or even whacking the tires in T3. Or the barrior for the cornerworker at T5. Point being we don't race in Qatar. Its not like something new.

Seriously?
It will either be run at too high a speed close to the NASCAR walls, or it will be slowed down by using tight chicanes, causing mass chaos on the start and bunching/sketchy passing. Or a combination of both.
There is a reason turn 1/1A/2 exists. Running the oval isn't safe, and I don't believe it can be made safe for a race environment. I'm sure that Eric Wood will do all he can to make it as safe as it possibly can be, but you really think a narrow chicane 500' from the start is going to be just as safe as it was before? Seems a bit delusional to me...
Sadly, Captain Awesome, we can't all be ex fast and furious extras with balls of steel like you. I accept the risks of racing but there is a threshold, and T1/T1A being unusable crosses that limit for me. Which I suppose makes me a pussy to you, but whatever. I assume you're not offering to pick up my medical bills and lost wages should I be injured, so I could really give a fuck what you think.
Cmon What are you gonna do? Stay home and street ride and have a blond with a cell phone run over you?
Actually I try to be constuctive. Maybe they should consider moving the motard race to sat race one as a test run. Slowest bikes going first. Just a thought.

Great. I thought I was all set for this weekend and didn't care what format we ran. Now I've got doubts. WTF?
If veteran racers are questioning the safety of the track layout, that gives me pause for concern.
