My front tire seems to be getting a lot of extraneous tire globs sticking to it, particularly in the middle. The rear seems to clear just fine. It's a Dunlop Sportmax GP-A (209?) I don't notice any excess vibrations.
Is this common?
Should I be removing them manually?
I love boogies! 100% normal.

NHMS does that. I assume its from the nascar rubber put down around the oval. no other track I've been on does it. I just "cleaned" up my tires over a couple days at Grattan in MI. they are perfectly smooth now. I'll put the boogies back on in a few weeks.

wear them boogers like a badge of honor. if pete has em, it isnt as a result of being slow.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
One part of many reading a tire.
The ones you should be reading to tell a certain part of the story is the ones on the outer edge of the tire.

I always thought you picked those up riding back to the pits but I guess I'm wrong. Either way they never cause me troubles.
Thanks for the insight, gentlemen. I won't be so concerned with it.
its normal and so far i think its a NHMS thing. im sure its a combination of the pits and NASCAR rubber on the straights.

A friend of mine races SCCA, they call it OPR for Other People's Rubber. I thought that was funny.
