I just stumbled on this on ebay:
eBay Motors: Other Makes (item 170219693442 end time May-22-08 05:57:34 PDT)
I'm not sure you could go wrong witha pricetag like that.
i wouldn't buy it personally
plus they said it can't be shipped to the US
no thanks. No power and good luck getting parts. It seems to be a good example of you get what you pay for.

I just found out the top speed is 60 mph. That puts a damper on it.
Although there is a 200cc version which has a top speed of 95. I'm going to see if these things are street legal. Might make a nice low cost starter bike for the misses.
it says right in the eBay auction they're "Limited Use"... ie, not street legal.
Dude, for that price just get an EX500 that's already race prepped. They're good for 100mph geared for NHMS and you can actually race it competitively if you decide to do so down the line.
Shit, I'll sell you mine for 1500 bucks once I decide to sell.

There are multiple versions in the US. Treat them like oversized import pitbikes, as thats EXACTLY what they are. The 125's actually have more potential than the 200's as you can put a built mini motor in them. (Think 192cc big bore YX160 build, 20+ HP.) The 200s use a pushrod clone of an XR100 motor, it's a dog with limited build options. You can swap in other vertical import motors that are a little hotter, but you'll be doing a lot more work to get it to perform. The advantage to the vertical motors, 5 or 6 speed gearboxes.
If I could score one CHEAP I'd give it a go. I don't recall which it is but one has proper 17" wheels.
as some one that attempted to use a grey import as a track bike i'd advise against it. it's no fun paying 50 bucks shipping for a 20 dollar brake lever to be flown in from thailand
No worries there, swap in a MX brake master. : )
