My boyfriend and I met up with some close friends in Indy at the GP and had an amazing time. Our friends own a motorcycle parts/accessories online business and because of the contacts they've made they are able to get garage passes for LCR Honda. Just getting into the paddock area was an experience as I was able to see many of the riders, get pics with them, etc. The amount of pics I got all weekend was insane, but thankfully we are in the age of digital camerasBut being able to get into the LCR garage and see Bradl up close and personal was awesome! The bikes are something else and it's amazing how seamlessly the team works together on the bike. There is very little talk within the garage, everyone knows what needs to be done and when one guy seems stuck, he looks up and another guy is there to take over and continue the repair/preparation/etc. While we were in the garage during one of the practices, MotoGP.com came through with their cameras and my BF and I were on tv when we went back to check out the video! It was a great weekend with friends and my BF. The bike nights on Meridan street were nuts with thousands of bikes. And to add to the fun of the weekend, it was also the GenCon conference so we got to people watch a bunch of people dressed up as wizards, bunnies, fairies, wizards, etc. Lots of laughs were had! Looking forward to heading back to Indy next year as I truly think it will be the last year there. And thinking I need to make a trip out to the Laguna Seca race as well! LCR Honda is a top notch team run by a great guy and I was thankful to be a part of Bradl's race weekend despite his less than stellar outcome.
