    ULSB Numbers

Seeing as we've got a bunch of ULSB peeps in here, can I pester for some ballpark numbers from y'all? I'm looking for wet weight and HP on the various options. Hawks are 50 to 70hp, 280lbs to 320lbs? Duc 800s can be up to 80hp, 300lbs to 350lbs? Or am I way off?

It was something like that, I weighed it on the nascar scales one weekend.

btw getting a sub-310 lb hawk requires quite a bit of work.

Damn, you're right, I was figuring a dry weight of 240lbs for most 'tards, looks like the RM-Z is closer to 220lbs before you add twice as much oil as necessary. : )

I thought you were under that mark for some reason, it was your bike I was thinking of in the 280lb range. This is why I don't go by memory for this crap any more... I'm way off base all over the place.

Dyno'd on Rob's Dyno at 59.7hp with one full season on the piston. And that was before I put the cam in it. When I get the money to redo the head, I'm guessing 62-65hp, depending on how much I decide to do as far as port/polish, etc. If I get really crazy I'm pretty sure I can get 70 out of it relatively safely.

And yeah, come on back next year and you're welcome to take it for a spin.

    Re: ULSB Numbers

From my reading, 70hp is doable without making a grenade out of 'em. BTW, I know where there is a 'special' part that you've been looking for up for sale. : )

    Re: ULSB Numbers

I am hoping to be right around where SMF is (although I bet my bike will be a little heavier)

The 800ss I had was 76hp IIRC, not sure of the weight but i felt pretty light. 350?

that would be JD hord's bike (Midwest hawk god). He also puts out very close to 90hp at the wheel. I dream of getting below 320lbs.

    Re: ULSB Numbers

So, net result, 280lbs, 50hp to 55hp really won't be up to par it sounds like. I'd need to find another 10hp, or drop 40lbs or more.

Henry - 71HP 340# Dual front disk up front. Scott has a Single.

I ran a stock Hawk as a novice- 55 hp -340# in the 1:22.5. Mr. Watts was, I think, 1:22.0 as an AM.
