I heard rumor of changes in 11-11a that had taken place in regards to new pavement etc. Do these affect us at all?
Thanks,
Fitz
They put a helicopter pad in the turn #11 area. Didn't effect the track.
They did grind and fix the patch in the T#12 chicane.
Plenty of camping area.
Plenty of power.
No grass. Still gravel.
Not happy with the T#1a fence area. If/when there's a crash, there's nothing but some chain link fence protecting spectators and campers. There's actually some picnic tables right in the crash zone with only some chain link fence to protect them. That will have to be fixed.
Johnny B's pictures pretty much show what it looks like as of today. If they get rid of all the Toyota pickups parked in 1a, there will be even more room!

Wait, so they redid the patch in 12, but not the sealant monster in 2?

after the BoMo day. as soon as the last bike was off the track, they immediately went out and started grinding the pavement in the T12 chicane. hope its smooth now. although i didnt mind the patch. it was like a little berm.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Is the patch the big dark rectangular one that us novices used to line up how to go in there? If so, damnit! Alex & Bergs showing me how to line that turn up via the patch made me sooooo much faster out of there, I was actually using all my gears and everything!
You see me in the 11/12 area last weekend? Being anywhere near me in that section could be hazardous to your health. But yes, pass me in 1. Hell, I'll NOT power you on the straight just so I can follow you through 1 and figure out the new line. Then I'll stuff you in 3. Or 6.

It's ON
Who do I call to reserve a corner worker for a specific turn? BTW, my apologies in advance to everyone else in race 8 Saturday for the red-flag to come when I stuff Kurlon and he bins his bike.
ON like donkey kong, my man.
Pfffffft!! No reds for you two. Just a debris flag and maybe Johnny B's "Dumb Ass" flag.
Plus, you race an EX500. We don't bother to pick them or the riders up. We just let 'em stack up and let the riders sort them out. ;-)

Of coarse. It's a Suzuki. It may be old but, we respect our elders.
Dan, I figured you'd seen that and make the connection. Last year or the year before, John Owens had a caption contest with that picture. I entered that caption and Johnny B was nice enough to make the poster up.

Johnny B, I don't suppose you have any extras of that poster lying around??
