so Adam showed me of a HillClimb race that involves motrocycles up in VT.
They close a public road and you race - Time Trial style, same thing as Pikes Peak just less intense and popular.
Do you guys know of any other similar race in the Northeast area?
I have seen things like street legal bikes only, race bikes only, combination, etc. Feel free to send anything my way.
Ascutney by MAX BMW
MAX puts on a few of them. From what I understand it's kind of clickey to get into them. They try and keep them low key and absolutely don't want a truck load of race bike pulling up and crashing up their nice hill climb. I had loose plans to try it last year that never came through. Usually the restrictions on the bikes are something like, it can't have fairings and it much have handle bars. From what I've found it's a lot of motards and adventure bikes. Something like a Ducati Streetfighter, which I planned to use, or monster or fz1 may be allowed in as well. If it comes up again this year I think the Motard would be a better choice.
Hm. Sounds fun. When is it/are they?

It's mostly a timed street ride up a mountain road. I signed up last year with my race bike than got my money back when the rules said no clip on handle bars. That rule has since been dropped for this event. It not a real race.

This is a car, but..
I did it last year and it was great! Here is my run on my R1200S def going back. Ascutney is like off-roading compared to okemo so I'm told...
