It was a big difference. It will be interesting next year to finally have a bike that will pull to red line. I will tell you this it is going to take a lot from keep from wheeling down into the bowl. If I hit the gas fast the front end gets light in a hurry. The bike is also lighter then my old ZX-6R so it is even easier to flick it around the track. To sum it up I LIKE IT A LOT !!!!!!!

The first day it rained then dried out then started to rain again! I say we got 4 or 5 20 min. sessions. The next day the track was wet, but it dried out fast. It was 75 and sunny! I think we got like 7 20min sessions. One more would have been nice, but after loading up it was better that we didn't get it. I was beat!!

I noticed in one of the pics you're using tire-warmers. Is that to save on heat-cycles? I'm guessing you did trackdays, not racing. Is it something you use 'cause you already have them? Or do you find it really extends the life of your track-tires?

We were just posing! No really, they do save your tires and its nice have warm tires when you go out. The group we were in it was like race practice. We could time laps and the only rule was no stuffing.

Did they require a road-racing license? Or were the track-days open to the "general public"?

Open to the public. You just needed the following:
Full leathers or a jacket and pant zip together suit, boots, gloves, back protector (they rent them if you don't have one), anti-freeze removed, all lights taped up, and tires that are in good shape. They did 3 different groups so you could pick which group you wanted to ride with. The Advance group you could pass anywhere the other 2 groups you could only pass on the outside.
