Thanks folks. Sounds like I'll stick to the 93 pump gas and salads for lunch.

It's just really consistent pump gas, with ethanol. (Thats why they claim it's oxygenated.)

The fuels like MR9 add HP
do that and you will make graham upset! or at least you will be upset when you get dq'ed

I'll have to talk to Graham then since there is no reason to be DQ'ed for running spec C12 with spec-approved Pump Gas.

    spec + spec = spec

They can't reliably test for it, the test regimen depends on your fuel matching one of their three test samples, none of which are mixed. If he can't verify the contents, he can't say it's ok.

    LRRS FUEL RULE
The LRRS rule book specifies that only “spec” fuels are permissible at LRRS events. Currently
three brands of fuel are approved for use:
    ∗ VP C12,
    ∗ VP Blaze100,
∗ Shell 93 Octane pump gas from a pre-determined gas station
Currently ONLY these fuels are permitted with NO mixing or blending allowed between these
fuels and/or any other fuels or additives. (Two stroke machines are excluded from the fuel rule)

Re: VP spec fuel at the track

To original poster...from what you have explained you have no good reason to use the race fuel so ya, pump gas is your best bet. And to add what people have said it all depends on your tune/motor work to determine if race gas is needed/beneficial. In most cases with motor work, its better to spend a few bucks rather than grenade the thing. Even motocross bikes don't necessarily need it. My 250 2stroke runs on racegas and it runs awesome how it is set up currently, but I met a pro freestyle guy from england that runs 93 and just tuned his carb accordingly.

At least. Think I paid 50 or 60 for 5 gallons of C12 in CA. Hence why I wanted to cut it 50/50... (or go to StreetBlaze..)

You wouldn't need it Seth. 93 pump gas be just fine for your bike. Just HAVE to get it from the Shell right before the track, you know the one we didn't go to.
