Fuck that I took the day off from work and drove 5 hours each way to do it. Left 9pm Tuesday, got there 2am, slept in a $50 piece of shit hotel room, got to track at 7:30am, rode all day (control rider), got caught in ON TRACK SANDSTORMS, left at 7pm, got home at midnight.
You want to do it then do it! No excuses.
That said I'm not going back to that track unless I'm on my RMZ450 or a Hypermotard.

I have to agree. Middle of fucking nowhere in the desert. Forever to get there. Nothing around. Sandstorms, yes. You know where the Space Shuttle lands? Yeah, there. Hot as FUCK in the summer.
To be fair, I haven't ridden it, but everything else about going there (many times, used to help a friend who raced) totally sucks.
Maybe taking the pit bikes out into the desert was fun. Maybe.

Doesn't take long to get there from LA... Anyway, I think the Loudon bashing got out of hand and everyone assumes other tracks are billiard table smooth and safe. That's not been my experience...

I thought Mat's was an NHIS record (Yates did a 1:09 too), and Scott's was an LRRS record.
The only way I'll see a 1:11 is if I can use the 3-10 split.
