Wood Report 6/15 6/16 6/17

Home early. I blew off the Motard race because I went up on the hill with the animals and HOLY CRAP I was hungover, lost my wallet, angry. Didn't think it was wise to get on a bike with other folks safety in jeopardy.

Friday was good for:

DNF would have collected 4 or 5 woodies if it wasn't for the bullcrap rule change this weekend.



It was nice how they removed all the 4th place finishers from the wood list with a black magic marker. Real suave.

No wood/glass this weekend for me.

Had a great time in Super Singles on Friday running head to head with my friend Eric (pp216) missing out on the mug by half a bike length. Then Eric and I went out in LW Sportsman on Friday and spent the race swapping positions back and forth. I wound up forth in that one but got screwed out of the mug (see above posts). I gotta say I haven't had that much fun in a long time.

Motard race on Sunday, I got smoked on the start, as usual, and wound up riding around by myself for most of the race. Only got lapped by four of the experts so that is something to feel good about. Otherwise I have no idea where I finished.

I ran pretty consistently in the low 28s area so I am pleased with that also. I just need to learn how to brake deeper. I lose so much time because I brake so early and dont carry a ton of corner speed. Oh well, things to work on I guess.

Watching the motard race on saturday was a blast, you guys really rail on those things. Animal hill was as usual out of control and great fun , and a great weekend had by all. The Kid who is riding my old r2125 was flying on it, his first time road racing and he is lapping at 1.21 not bad for a 14yr old.
Nice to meet everyone at the track and had a great weekend

I asked why the change and the official answer was:

"We are under CCS rules this weekend not LRRS. CCS only gives out trophies to 1, 2, and 3"

Ok. That's fine.

But as Biggity said on Saturday, if we're under CCS rules then why are there races scheduled that CCS doesn't recognize? Good question...

Eh, whatever. I had fun and that's all that matters I guess.

Supermotard - Almost last. However, I qualified 7th and ran as high as 5th. WOO!!!

that was a fun race Hobbs. i almost thought it was over for both of us when i tried the outside of 8 into 9 on the binders hard through there. maybe now that Hobbs has that Duc figured out he will run up front with me in LWSB. i did a personal best during that race with a 1:21.3 with consistant 22s

finished 3rd in supersingles 5th in lwsportsman in a race where me and joel were going back and fourth for position and i was laughing the whole way around the track having so much fun with him.. good racing buddy!!! finished 6th in GTL on saturday this was my first weekend on the rmz-450 motard and im probably going to finish the season on it because it was soo much fun to ride!!! Also gutta give a shout out to my boy Rick D #6 who had a mint weekend
