Restoring bike, have new set of orginal handle bars. Do I have to install the cable to throttle on grip first, then connect to Carbs, meaning tank must come off? Have had the bike since new (1970) yes I'm that old !Would prefer not to remove the tank if I don't have to. There is a threaded elbow which srews into the throttle grip assembly, which makes it difficult, am i missing something ? Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Thread the elbow into the housing, snake the cable through and then attach the cable to the throttle tube before setting the tube into the housing. You should be able to pull the cable fairly easily to open the carbs up and give you an extra inch or so of slack.
cables have a splitter..
if it ain't been run then tank must be rusted pc has to come off fro cleaning and creaming
