My next door neighbor's kid was replacing the head gasket on his '91 Gixxer 750, and when buttoning down the head he stripped two of the camshaft bearing caps. They can't be helicoiled because the caps split into pieces. I checked Bikebandit and Ron Ayers for him but it doesn't look like the parts are available. I tried a used parts place, but no luck with that so far either.
Any suggestions for finding dinosaur gixxer parts to get the bike back together?

Might be a good lead...
The caps are usually machined with the head and not interchangeable between engines. Best bet is to get another head. They are usually cheap.
Yeah, I thought that was the case, especially when I didn't see separate part numbers on the fiche. Thanks for confirming. It's not what I was hoping to hear, but it's good to know. It increases the cost and time to repair by quite a bit, but replacing all the gaskets was probably needed anyway. I found a head on ebay for $250 that will probably do.
Thanks for all the replies.

Doh! I just scrapped a '91 motor last weekend.
Nah some shitbag showed up to my house and took it all excitedly.
