Gummy gas can definitely effect FI bikes. I've let my bike sit too long sometimes and it either won't start on the first try or run stupid sluggish. I've seen it trip the light when it does this.
To the OP, do you get any type of ignition at all and the bike just won't start? Will the bike just crank over normally and not spark at all or is t dead when you hit the starter?
That info would help others narrow it down for you too.

correct. I think i started it up once in January but that was it. Checked all the wires; that looked good. Next step is to charge the battery; if that doesn't start it then I'm moving on to the tank.
Any suggestions on where I should get a battery charger? Is this proprietary for sportbikes or is this something I can pick up at a local hardware store?

benny's has a good one or autozone for $20-30 that has a smart tender. It fast charges and then when the battery is good it will only trickle. It will also tell you if the battery is taking the charge when plugged in with a red and green light.

I will bring my charger with me to Nashua this afternoon. PM me if you'd like to pick it up as I'll be in the Spit Brook Rd area.
You are welcome to borrow it however I'm going to need it back sometime Friday.
Another idea is to bring me the battery and I'll charge it during my shift and drop it off on my way home since you're only in Merrimack.

Just don't jump it with a running car please.
If you have to ask why just go search for it.

yea i'm not going to jump it with the car. that's a big no no... Bump starting may work. Picking up the charger today, hoping to get out early, plug that puppy in. I want two things. 1) the Bike to Start tonight and 2) The Bruins Win!!
