Amazon.com: Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger: Automotive
is it any good? i dont think you can beat the price and figure id share with all you guys.. im getting two lol
That's the same brand I have used for the last 5 years with zero issues. Smaller unit but I am sure that will handle the need and that's a great price.
It's just big enough to maintain the charge on a smaller battery, or very slowly charge one. Fine for one motorcycle.

i have used this one, not bad, but you actually have to clamp to the battery, no nifty little connector. But it worked and kept the battery charged, and charged a dead one in about 2 days. I got mine for $2.99 on killer sale from HF one day, it is worth it!
I have 3 small HF but believe they are just constant trickle chargers so didn't like them
I had but broke the JUNIOR it seemed fine kept the DRZ happy for years
For the same 20 at Walmart I got the Schlumberger (assume chinese) but certainly larger more oommff and allegedly smart including desulphating cycle
That is a good deal. I have, and use that one.
I did get multiple pigtails so I can move it to different machines when needed.

I have the HF one. Use it on bike and mower batteries. It works.
I have a flyer for the HF ones. On sale for $5, but it says "Not for use with AGM (Absorption Glass Mat) batteries." No idea how many bikes use AGM batteries or if it really matters.

I have 2 of these, they work just fine but for the price I'd recommend this one: Amazon.com: Schumacher SEM-1562A 1.5 Amp Speed Charge Maintainer: Automotive
It charges faster and can desulfinate batteries as well.

So I keep my bike in a climate controlled room. I didn't pull the battery last year and it has worked fine all season.....
Is there any need to?

Most newer bikes have agm batteries.
it seems its been working great so far on 3 different bike batteries! def a good buy and Id suggest it for the price!
I noticed that one has a quick connect cable. I installed the quick connect cable in my bike just under the subframe. I love how by using the quick connect cable you don't even have to remove the seat to charge your battery.
I am going for the 4 bank station for this winter.![]()

I got so excited when you said it was a desulphater, but after looking and doing some googling , i cant find any where where it mentions that it desulphates.
Ive been looking for one. but most are $75 and up
They say that lead acid batteries CAN start to crystalize or sulphate after 3 months, For bike batteries that would be after you put the acid in. car batteries start to degrade on the shelf.
This starts the downgrade of its true potential life span. Some chargers have desulphator stage . The charger sends pulses that desolve the crystalls that grow on the plates.
Different companies claim different ways this happens , bottom line is these chargers can reverse the damage and bring your battery back to life.
as for batteries over winter, the smaller FLOAT charger is the way to go. you dont need very much charge, only enough to keep it positive (more going in than being lost) , WITHOUT OVER CHARGING .
The slower charge the better for the battery, reality is, 250milli amp per hour charger would be plenty for a good battery with no draw. so bigger isnt better here.
If anyone comes across a charger that desulphates for a reasonable price , please post. people on utube are making them for under $20.00 or so. i donot poses the talent to make my own or i would.
