Any way to beef up the no cut fame sliders so they don't snap off?
Thanks
Not really, short of tapping out the frame to allow a beefier bolt to be put through and sticking a nut on the other side. And I've never heard of that being done nor am I sure about the ramifications for frame integrity.
You can install a hardened bolt, but it'll still be 6mm and it'll still snap and then it'll be harder to remove the broken piece.
There are a number of us on the board with 98-02 zx6rs that sport chintsy no-cut slider mounts. I propose we get together and install the real deal; cut-mount sliders from a gsxr that mount through the engine bolts and require modification of your coolant overflow to fit.
Buy an 04 6R so you dont have to cut or move anything!
