Anyone near central mass have access to a bead blaster and be willing to help me out with cleaning up a couple parts? I have a 77 Peugeot moped I'm looking to clean up and use to get me back and forth a couple miles to and from work. Most of it will be small pieces but I would like to hit the wheels and swing arm as well as the previous owner though painting the wheels with 57 coats of silver paint was a good idea. I can buy the blasting media and pay in beer, just looking to get this on the road as cheap as possible......... but if I'm going to rock a 33 yr old moped I need to pimp it out a bit.

A friend of mine has a small set up, he also does a bit of powder coating.
He is in Holden.
I will ask him if he is interested.
You can come down and use mine. I don't know if providence is too far though.

Pics please, it would be cool to to see an old moped with 57 coats of silver.
Beat It Like A Rented Mule !!
Legend in my own mind
That would actually work out well..... and there could be some powder coating business in the future on the next project. Let me know if he's interested.
Mike, providence is probably too far for this project, just looking to clean things up and get it on the road. I'll probably be selling it as soon as I can get the CB project up and rolling. Driving parts to providence would be a tough cost to recoup to break even on this project. The CB project in future will be a different story though, probably need some bead blasting, maybe some welding and fabricating.... if you know anyone that can do that type of stuff.

I know Providence is a hike, but I figured I would offer. I would be happy to let you use the cabinet anytime. If it is only a couple things and you do the actual blasting I wouldn't even charge you, which might make the trip worth it. Let me know about the cb project. I am sure I "know" someone who could help you out.

These are things I don't need to see when I have this moped hanging in the basement.
