Brembo master headache

I bought a brembo master off a 1098 on ebay for the SV. Described as fully functional. While bleeding the lines after the install the master is spitting brake fluid out of this little hole (see pic). Is it normal? Did I get fucked?

That would mean you need to buy a rebuild kit. The piston seal is worn out.
