^^ Agreed. I just started using it a few months ago and the stuff is great. Seems to last many hundreds of miles, and has loosened up a few of the stiffer links I had on my chain. Keeps the rust at bay too, big time.
That's what she said?
What's rust?
I'm not as faithful as Jim is on cleaning my chain, but I haven't had any rust on if since I installed it 15,000 miles ago.
Just got in a couple cans each of Motul Chain Clean and Maxima Chain Wax.
I like the waxes.
Time to coat the chain for the winter. Just filled both CBR's tanks with gas & stabil.
It's sad.

for the billionth time, jim, 'soaking' in kerosene isn't a bad idea once in a while or after a crash, but kerosene is also the perfect everyday on-the-bike chain cleaner as well.
Put it in a spray bottle.

i thought you were referring to when you previously thought that using kerosene to clean a chain required removal of said chain... cheers for smartening up.

chuck when using kerosene, since it's a pretty strong solvent like gasoline, etc... wearing some neoprene/nitrile gloves can be helpful if you're doing an off-the-bike cleaning...
however when you're just spraying it on and using a grunge brush and such, it shouldn't be necessary... you shouldn't be getting it on your hands very much at all.

I don't even do that for winter storage.
Jim, you're just paranoid now. As long as you do regular maintenance on it, what happened to you won't happen.
And chain inspection before a ride will also prevent it.
