I would think if your ECU isnt happy and isnt dropping the one wire to ground that it would light some indication on the guage cluster (FI or something). If all of the wires are showing continuity (to what, ground? 12V high?) and are not supposed to, it sounds like you dont have a sensor issue, it sounds like you nuked a relay or something and maybe through a heating event merged some wiring. If you get a multimeter, set it to measure voltage, and touch it to each of the 4 wires and see if when trying to start ANY of them change at all. If none of them change, period, then it must be some safety shutoff. Maybe when you got oil on the kickstand sensor it got inside and is constantly tripping the sensor.

bypassed the switches and still nothing...
One of the bolts that holds the kickstand switch down got stripped so I just cut the wire off and connected both ends. And I paper-clipped the two inputs to the clutch switch.
The bike has a gear indicator on it- maybe this could be interfering with the gear/neutral sensor?
Ignition wiring diagram is on page 378 for whoever can read it and can help... here's the link again:

There was corrosion in the killswitch. Needed the contacts cleaned and she turned right over
Shame on me, I forgot to take high-resolution photos
Get the correct radiator and you should be good to go, Nik![]()
