So I cracked the engine lower case on my 97 ZX9R over the winter and replaced the bent 2nd gear shift fork. I got the engine back in the frame and ready for a test ride, but my clutch won't engage. If I put the bike in 1st gear and let out the clutch, the bike rocks slightly like it wants to go, but then nothing.
It's a hydraulic clutch, new fluid, bled it thoroughly. I put everything back together per the service manual. I'm thinking clutch springs are out of spec? That or I need a new (thicker) steel plate.
I'm open to suggestions as to how to approach this.
Thanks!

I'm not real familiar with that particualy engine but..... on a lot of bikes you need to line the pressure plate up right. there is usually a mark on the basket that you need to line up with a mark on the pressure plate. Worth a look
