Fookin nail !

I have got a small nail sideways in the middle of my rear tire. Can I trust a patch? The tire has about half its life left.

being implanted sideways, I wouldn't be as concerned with leakin as much as broken chords.

Go to motorcycle accesory warehouse, and get a new tire. I just got a D207RR 190 for the rear for $157 plus shipping
the front was just over $100.


Put it this way do you really trust a plug when you are leaned over in a corner?

Change the tire... like Sean said it's just not worth the risk... but save your rubber for Stonnerstock II... I wanna see that Duc up on the board!

I have a service comming up soon and I am thinking of getting it changed then. I pulled out the nail and it didnt go through, it stayed in the meat of the tread (whew) 400 miles till 6k. I can make it last for 400 miles.

Sean, let me know your impression of the Dunlop D207RR's and I'll let you know mine. They came stock on the Bostrom -- Ben likes Dunlop and they wanted to make the replica as exact as possible. Usually Ducs get Michelin or Pirelli's. The 207RR's are pretty new to market. The reviews have been very positive. Perhaps this might be a better choice than the Michelin Pilot Sports.

Like I said before, I'd be more concerned with a cut or broken cord than a leak.
