As A lot of you I have USD forks and am trying to do my seals and dust covers have received all of the parts in the mail and I have some of the necessary tools. Was wondering if anyone in the area has a fork Spring compressor that I could borrow or maybe even buy. Or betteroption help me with the repair. I do have beers as payment
any help would be great
I have never heard of using a spring compressor on fork springs. Is this a street bike only thing?
^Usually only needed in upside down forks. My standard forks are super easy with no compressor.
USD forks are extremely difficult to take apart guys... They are not only inverted, but they are fully adjustable, so there's every little damper and rod and valve that gets in the way of popping the shock apart.
You may have to just bite the bullet and buy one.

Thanks Guys..... I think i might have too just bite the bullet and order one plus i have a few buddies that will need to use it in the future ill just let them use it for some booze and a couple good laughs thanks guys
Get a couple of buddies and some long screwdrivers, they compress the spring using the screwdrivers by inserting the shafts between the coils near the top, you loosen the lock nut and remove the cap then give them beer, invite them back at re-assembly time!
