Thanks guys. I found a lot of mixed info so I wanted to ask. I'll be installing my new Stealth Sprocket set up this weekend.
I had 2 sprocket bolts loosen up on me. I was cleaning up some chain lube and was shocked to find one backed out a little and another was not near torque spec. From then on they see the Loc.

I don't think I put loctite on the cush studs, but then again the sprocket nuts on my bike are locknuts...![]()

I safety the front sprocket. It has 2 bolts that usually no taper to them. Ease of drilling.
My rear has taper to the bolts so not as easy to drill. + you would eat up a lot of safty wire and time making sure every thing is just right.

safety wire on the rear bolts? geez, might as well safety wire the gas cap to tank and wire the tires to rims![]()

I actually lied I do use loctite on the countershaft sprocket.

I know red loctite is called for on sprockets on dirt bikes. Once they come loose you can throw them out as they will never stay tight again. They get ruined in a hurry. Same goes for a shift bolt, but i only use blue on thet.

It pays to play.
