I just received my new yoshimura carbon fiber exhaust and I was wondering if anyone knew how hard it would be to take the stock one off and put this on? It is the full system including headers, and I have a factory jet kit that is going to be put on in a couple of days, but for now I just want to try and put it on on my own. Thanks
Arguing on the internet is like winning a gold medal in the special olympics......whether you win or lose you are still retarded!
It should be wicked easy like most "bolt-on" mods. Unbolt old one, bolt on new one. Mine took about 30 minutes and that's only because I had to realize the centerstand had to be removed for it to go on the bike![]()
Did it come with instructions/diagrams? do you have a service manual? that should give you an idea of how to take the stock one off.
either way shoul dbe pretty easy. Slip ons are a 20-30 minute job on most bikes and even full systems aren't that hard. My slip-on took my 20 and i helped a buddy of mine with his full vance and hines and the hardest part was realizing that the center stand had to come off.....

Try installing a new exhaust on a 1993 GSXR-750 and see how "easy" it is.
Remove the bodywork, drain the coolant, drop the radiator, pull the old exhaust, install a new oil filter because the new system fits so tight you can't get the filter off with it in place.
Now, install new exhaust - make sure to install NEW exhaust port gaskets - and put everything back on.
On some bikes this is easy, but that Gixxer comes to mind as the worst ever.![]()
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.

The only thing worse than that 1993 GSXR-750 was putting a head gasket in a 1994 GSXR-1100 with the engine still in the bike.
No room to work, and you still have to drain the coolant since the thermostat is mounted on top of the valve cover.
Those early wet GXSR's suck ass.
