Anyone have a riveting tool then can let me borrow/come help me put chain and sprockets on? I can do the chain and sprockets but if you'd like to come and rivet the chain so i don't break your tool then let me know. Will be ordering things tomorrow so hopefully the end of the week/weekend should be here.
I will of course pay you for your trip.
Anyone closer have one, i need one asap by today.
someone help the kid out... I'll be helping him.. the tool will be safe...![]()
the old chain is already off and does the new one need to be shortened? i have one, but last time i used it i recall missing a few parts (pins, etc) used for pressing out extra links. for attaching the new master, i think all the parts were there (in fact i think i still have an extra cheap press in it's package). somebody would have to come pick it up though and i wouldn't be home until about 6:30. i am just west of worcester in leicester

additionally, if you want it, let me know in about the next 5 minutes. after that i won't be around the computer until later tonight

yea ill take it but unfortunately the new chain has to be shortened so if the 3.8mm pin isnt there then it won't do me any good lol.
Sorry dude. I thought you were all set. I have the loaner tool here I could have let you take when you picked up the chain. If you want to come get it I'm here until 8pm.
haha yea Ted i kinda regret not getting it when i was there or calling the other guy up earlier kinda sucks.
Thanks again to eboos for letting me borrow his tool and letting me meet the future track riders haha.
2 mistakes i made installing the chain. 1. I ended up riveting the same master link end twice, thank god i caught it and didnt butcher it (that much). 2. forgot to set my torque wrench to 69ft lbs for the axle and kept tightening, again i caught myself.
Oi..Erik is right down the street from me.... I did not know he had one...
