My float charger has a bunch of warnings about not operating unless ventilated. Is it okay to leave the charger on the -sealed- battery inside the house in the winter (not really "well ventilated")?
It'll be making hydrogen the whole time. Can't imagine it'll be a whole lot of hydrogen but the stuff burns rather violently...
Put it all in a big garbage bag! Maybe it'll be like a blimp! Hindenburg, anyone?
I wouldnt leave the trickle on it all the time though. I dont have enough knowledge to back up why I wouldnt leave it on all the time, I was just told to do the once a month thing, and I've been golden with no probs. Every winter I take my battery (sealed/maintenance free batt.) inside and Just Charge it once a month. I keep the charger and the battery about 3 or 4 feet away from eachother, Charge until Green light, disconnect the charger, and leave the battery in a safe place for a month, then repeat.
