Mainly for the Triumph Thruxton.
Is the simple answer Woodcraft?
If so, does it matter if I but it Direct or through Revzilla?
I've got a laundry list of things to get from Woodcraft soon, poking around it didn't look like there was any big savings buying their stuff through another retailer so I'll likely be going direct once the CC has recovered from the current purchase blast.
No idea on that one, could aways email them and ask?
am I the odd man out with Pitbull stands ?

We can do that - just give us a call in advance at 978-297-2977. Stands are tough to keep in stock so we want to be sure that we have them here for you when you arrive.
Thanks,
Eric
I've had both throughout the years. I like the pitbull stuff better then some older generation Woodcraft stands. What did it for me was back then the pitbull rear was easily converted from picking up with spools to just using the swingarm. You would have needed two separate Woodcraft rear stands for that. Eric would be able to say what generation we had at computrack better then I could but we are going back at least 15 years ago.
I think the newer generation Woodcraft stuff is superior to the Pitbull stuff. The same rear stand can now be used to pick up directly at the swingarm, with spools or with superbike lifters. The front stand is better as well. It takes all of two seconds to swap pins for different bikes. The height adjustment is also very nice on both ends. Going by the ooler stuff we had the woodcraft stuff is also lighter so a bit easier to lug around.
Never used Woodcraft stands, and I don’t doubt their quality, but I’ve been very happy with my PitBulls.
I’ve had a few over the years, currently have the newer style with removable handles. They make it easier walk around the bike while it’s on stands, and make it easier to hang on the wall when not using them.
A while back I had a pair of “Venom” stands that I think got for free. I used them for storing my track CBR in the corner of the garage in the winter, but I didn’t trust them for any real wrenching on the bike.
Another benefit to Pitbulls is that they are pretty popular brand. If you do a Craigslist/Marketplace search for “motorcycle stand”, you can occasionally find them for $50-100.
Woodcraft and PitBull are definitely the top two choices for stands right now. I don't know of any other brands off-hand that can compete. They're both fantastic.
The debate over which product is better is entirely subjective - I've used both of their products, they're both super nice, but I don't have any personal relationship with PitBull to put them over the top.
Woodcraft, on the other hand - They're local, they ship insanely fast, they support local racers (full disclosure - I directly benefit from this), and I have an immense amount of respect for Eric and what his family has been doing for local road racing for DECADES.
I bought my Woodcraft stands somewhere around 2005 or 2006 and they're still holding my bikes up today with no retirement date in sight. I would LOVE to get a set of new ones though. They've made some reeeeealy nice improvements over the years without sacrificing longevity or durability one bit.

I like local businesses that support the community.
I'm setting this up with Woodcraft for pick up in the next week or so.
Oh Hai Eric!
CC has had enough cool down time, order placed. If you've got anything you need for info off a 2024 MT-09, let me know, I'm finally committing the bike to a life of racing.
Done! Ordered from Woodcraft, easy peasy on the phone.
I'll pick them up when they're both in.
Thanks Eric!
Woodcraft supports the site, always good too support them!
