I'm trying to put my '05 CRF450x on the road. I got a blinker kit/highbeam/brake lights/horn.
I plan on picking up another set of rims for DOT approved tires. For quick changing for street riding to trails. And I know I need a Speedometer. But I've heard rumors about needing a metal gas tank not sure if its true?
Anyone know what else I'll need to pick up before trying to get it inspected.
Also, could anyone recommend an inspection station?
Thanks..
Can't imagine you'd need a metal gas tank, my Durango does not have one; nor does a ZX12R or a Gold Wing to name a couple of street bikes.
I think I'd use a Bicycle speedometer.
The ZX-12R has a metal gas tank. It's just not where you would expect to see it. Take a peek under the seat!Originally posted by stoinkythepig
