I've got 13,900 miles on the original OEM suzuki pads. I still have a ways to go before the pads reach the wear indicators. I unbolted the calipers tonight and the pads look a bit shiny. I'm guessing they are a bit glazed from frequent slow, gentle stops.
I plan on cleaning the calipers and rotors well and gently scuffing up the pads and rotors. What's the best way to scuff up the pads and rotors? Fine grit sand paper?
Ride around for a bit to produce some heat then try building up some speed and doing a few deliberate stops which will usually scrub the brake components.
Find a safe place like an industrial park.
Sometimes it is possible it is not the pad making the noise and the pad supports/ guides that are squeaking. Take the pads out and clean all the guides and lube them up.

Clean the pad pins and put a small amount of never seize on them.
My brand new Duc does this. Drives me nuts pulling up in traffic on a Ducati that has squeaks coming from it.
Try not using low speed.
I'll try all the above. Thanks.
what i've found is a lot of the time its either the guide pins or actually the pad itself.
i've had to take my pads our and use a little sand paper to smooth off the edges and its fixed it for me a few times
