Finally got the 2005 SV650 back together after a frame swap, buncha new parts + front end and cleaning 13 years of grime from every single part.
When I tipped the gas tank to drain the old fuel, I could hear something clattering around inside. Assuming it would return to haunt me, I added some new gas and installed the tank.
Bike is not starting, cranks good but no signs of combustion.
Before I drain and pull the fuel sender from the tank, a) is it normal to have random shit rattling around in your SV tank and b) any sweet tricks on draining the tank completely? I just use a long tube and siphoned it previously

Turned out I was actually getting no spark.. forgot to plug in in the signal gen
Starts right up now, but I'll probably look into the tank soon anyway.

Man you took all the fun out of it. Was ready for you to pull the water drain plug on the front cylinder.. and all the other SV tricks I know..lol
Pull the fuel pump out and see if anything is lose? Nothing should be rattling around.

Oh she's been plenty of fun already! Really relieved the rebuild went smooth so I can work on the remaining pieces and get it on the road.
Will be pulling the fuel pump, I read something about a hose coming detached in the tank.. it definitely works but I don't want to push my luck.
