Well the most important thing is that I rode my bike tow ork today, and then home. It started with one push of the start button and I have a new battery.
I did have old one tested at Advanced Auto parts and it was dead. I was correct in buying a new battery
If ya can't stand the flames, get outta the kitchen...... cuz I don't think anyone could POSSIBLY turn the flames down any more than where the are now. I don't see ANY flames in here.... hell it's barely even warm!
If you followed people's advice from the other thread your bike should have started up no problem..... ie, car off, connect the batteries directly (none of this clip on the frame bs.... just black to black, red to red) and immediately try and start the bike. Shoulda fired up no problem.
But you still probably woulda needed a new battery... so I'm glad ya got one & the bike's running. See ya Sunday?

Jimaug87, good to hear it was the battery. I told youin one of my comments. Battery, alternator or rectifier. Better to have the problem with the battery than the other two.
