I put Woodcraft clip-ons on my SV (N) the other day, and the built-in reservoir on the N master cylinder is somewhat awkward now. The previous owner gave me a complete S front brake setup with the bike, but it has sat in a bath of brake fluid and battery acid at the bottom of a black trash bag for about 2 years now. I dug out the S master cylinder and it looks pretty gross.
My thought is to take it apart, rinse everything with more brake fluid, blow some air through the cylinder, then put it back together. I did this to my rear MC a while ago but did not put any thought into the process since it was just the rear. Is there anything I need to be concerned about while doing this to make sure that it works 100% when I put it back together? If I see that the internals are visibly damaged I will just ebay a "new" one.
