Quick question, what is the difference between an O-ring gasket bought from the dealer for your bike VS going to the hardware store and getting the exact match at 1/16 the cost?
I feel like I got ass raped today as I paid $14 for a single O-ring gasket from an Aprilia dealer todayI know I can buy packs of 10 from O-tite for less than the cost of the one I bought today.
For what it's worth, it's for the oil filter cover on the SXV

I'd say difference is absolutely nothing. Aprilia doesn't manufacture o-rings. They specify the size and get them from a supplier. Try the bargain ones. If it doesn't leak, you're good.

just need to make sure they are oil or fuel rated.

I work for a company that distributes orings, among other things. Basically if the compound is tested to meet the same specs as the stock compound then there should be no difference. (Assuming they are the same size) My guess is that they use a A568 standard oring.
