2nd expert weekend...I'm trying so hard to get past my mental blocks, and get back into the 20's, and to my seasons goal of teens. However, I did not execute the changes I knew I needed to make to get there this round. I need to work on body position in a huge way, and corner entry speed, which of course go hand in hand. Maybe I will pull it off in October...? I certainly could use some critique, but havent spent the time or money this year to get any. Regardless, even the changes I know I need to make havent stuck.
Overall, I cant complain though, the sticky side stayed down, I had some fun battles, even if it was in the back of the pack. (man those RSP guys are relentlessThe bike felt great, and I did too, but to go faster, I need to press that comfort zone. I know I'm capable of much more, but I freeze up once on track, and go into my old habits...easier then change I guess. Just a second quicker and I can really get into the mix. Im determined that it will happen next round, provided we are lucky enough to have some decent weather.

Low Down Racing had an epic weekend, no thanks to me...Bill Morey and John Linn slaughtered their personal bests and the competition, so shout out to those animals. It was awesome to watch those two push each other and truely enjoy every session on their bikes. As always, the festivities in T1a drew a crowd of peeps from all over the paddock, something that I look foward to every weekend. Thanks to Heath and Adam for the encouragment and comeraderie. Thanks to my wife Jen for being so supportive! See you falkers in October!
thanks arcy for a couple pics of practice:

haha yeah...not only do i need help with position, but im struggling with how im anchoring myslef to the bike. i'm gassing out quickly, and, although im good about bar pressure once set in the corner, i'm bracing the bars too much in braking zones and turn in, instead of squeezing with my legs. I know the right way, but im unsure how to get enough grip to hold myself properly! Overall, i need to relax and learn how to be "in" the bike instead of being upright and bracing.

start sliding off the seat when you start to brake. your outer knee/thigh will help grip the tank.

Nice run in the Pit bike race man!!!
With the way things went this weekend it was good to just stay on two wheels.
The speed will come back.
See you in a month...
The older I get the Faster I wuz
I teach this to be the proper way, but I don't practice it.
Brett, yell at yourself to squeeze the shit out of that tank when you're braking for 1, 3, 6. Tighten your abs like you've just eaten 6 pounds of cheese but forgot your Fiber One today. And yell at yourself to drop your elbows.

Brett you can do it. Think about some time, either NJ or the 14th. Need to do the work at 80% without the "go fast" pressure. I hope you can, if you do the 14th I'll see ya there. You got some mojo back, now claim the rest! Thanks for the props too, much appreciated.

I know your pain, I struggle with body position also, and no matter how much better I feel like I'm doing, I never look as good as I feel. Since I'm riding a borrowed and unfamiliar bike next round, I'm also hoping to get some time in and may be up for the 14th. If I am, you Bill and I will have to turn some laps.

Hey, you kept the shiny stuff up this weekend. That's a good start. See you in October.

I also struggled with body position for quite some time before it finally started to click. The gripping of the tank while braking and already moved off the bike to prepare for the corner was the hardest part. I found it easiest to practice it while at 80% pace. It took me all 3 days of a 3 day back to back to back track days in order to get it down pat.
And for corner speed...going to Jersey helped me a ton. If you do have a chance to go sometime it really helps with the higher corner speed.
