Jay, you ever try grabbing two downshifts before 11 instead of one before & one after?
I feel like that would tidy up the 11-11a transition for ya and save you a tenth or two.

Nope. I haven't...I'm not sure why as that seems like such a simple idea that makes a whole lot of sense. First thing to try next time I get out there...

10, 11, 11a are a weird spot for me. Coming into 11, if I keep it wide open I hit the rev limiter in 4th just before I'm gonna get on the brakes. If I go into 5th, I don't even have time to get on the gas and its lost time. What I have been doing, which you can tell from the videos, is backing off the throttle, just a slight bit to keep it from hitting the rev limiter, as hitting the rev limiter upsets how the suspension is loaded for a millisecond right before I get on the brakes which has gotten me squirrely on occasion.

I'm hoping the new line I got from Paul through 9 and 10 will be enough to get me comfortably into 5th gear.

knowing a couple ways around the track is a big help when it comes time to sticking that pass on bigger bikes and not having to wait for 1 and 3 to pass people on the brakes. I really think that track day may have been what I needed.

And there, my friend, you begin to make the transition from newb to racer. Fast laps aren't worth much without racecraft Glad you're figuring some of it out! Psyched for your finishes this past round, and excited to dice it up with ya next weekend!
