Two goals for this weekend: No crashes and no mechanical repairs. My last race and track days have been pretty crappy physically and mentally and I needed to get past that.
Saturday, Race 9 - Acceptable times in the beginning and I was slowly beginning to feel some of my old pace come back. I'm still super-timid on the start and not very aggressive about passing but I'll deal with that some other time. Ended up running out of gas. I forgot how small the Hawk tank is. Another stupid rookie mistake I apparently needed to get out of my system.
Sunday, Race 3 - My first real ride in the rain with rain tires. I had an EX for a rabbit and that worked out well. I pretty much just followed him around the track and didn't crash.
Sunday, Race 9 - I passed a couple of my wave early in the beginning and never saw another rider for the rest of the race. Pretty boring really but still track time. Most people went home because of the weather.
I was slow on the track but I pretty well accomplished both of my goals. I also hung out with some cool folks and pretty much had a relaxing weekend.

Good work John! Nice opening weekend.
<<Thanks for pushing this guy back to the pits who also happened to run out of gas>>
See you in June.
Gas.
Just above the hump before every outing.
Maybe it was the correct carb bits that sucked all the gas down.![]()

I have no doubt you will continue your rise. You are making quite a name for yourself as the good guy in the pits. Your bike skills will come back. Great Job Teammate!

Race 9 on Sat, yup, corrected. If you stick around in Novice I'm sure we'll be gridded at least in the same ballpark.
