Ripper Racing season opener (rnd2)

well, it's been a long stressful offseason. my motor was just a few laps from popping, and anything that could've been wrong with it was...

so, fast forward: cliff's cycles came through bigtime with coming under budget for the rebuild, and i got lucky with a transponder.
today: i show up early and am the first one in reg. as i renew my license, don tells me i've been "upgraded". street and comp had the goods, i'm yellow.

i throw on what i've got for rains (an old pirelli front, and new brickstone rear) i crash in 3 on my outlap in practice. everything looks ok, so i go back out, and lock up the front in the 3 chute. this will not stand. i snag a set of takeoffs from a respectable type cat and the games are ready to begin. it's fucking raining. i'm feeling not good about it.
my bike stalls on pregrid, and only because there was a red flag, i make the restart. i'm last into t1...and somebody bins it coming outta 12, and someone else has some sort of mechanical, and i can see preteen. it's on. it took me 3-4 laps t reel him in, but eventually a get him in 3. next up is chiappisi, but the race is over before i get there. i finish in 3rd!

The Novice class has changed. This is one of the changes. Work on getting more experience/faster and get bumped. I'll give $20 to the first one of you NESR Novices that earns a podium your first weekend in Amatuer.

i'll settle for a 12 pack of high life. we can share.
looking back at the times, i turned a 1.33 in the rain, 2nd fastest in the class. word. ex times weren't too much faster, so i'm thrilled.
