Anyone have a 162W or bigger board? Brand really doesn't matter to me. I am running a 158W and I'm 6'1 so I need a longer board. Let me know what you have.

It doesn't matter how tall you are, it's all about weight... I am sure your 158 is fine, how much do you weigh?
210-215

I'm 6'5" 240 and rock a 175 burton supermodel and LOVE it.
I went from a 156 burton twin (crazy lively, springly, nimble, spins like a mofo, toe drag from hell, unstable at high speed), to a 165 K2 Double wide (piece of crap, heavy, dead fish, felt like riding a sheet of plywood, zero toe drag, easily dragging your hand while carving the courdory was fun), to the 175 supermodel (love it so far, not many miles on it, little toe drag, springs, stable at high speed, feels good, man)
Depending on the manufacture your probably at the mid-top of the weight range for your 158. A 160 might be a decent choice.
I have a Forum 163 wide w/ P1 carbon Burton bindings. Interestd?
Was just at sports authority and saw a sims 11-12 wrath sized 163W for $299. Glad I didn't grab it because the sales man reminded me about the ski and snowboard expo coming up.

I have an older Burton Canyon Board , size is 210 (?) with Brand new Flow bindings I will sell you cheap. Will need a tune up (Wax, Edges sharpened) Overall it's in good shape, just looks faded as it's been around awile. Hasn't been used in 5 years. I paid $200 for the board and used it 3 times, Bindings are brand new, mint condition, I paid $100 for the bindings. They are adjustable and will accomidate a wide range of boot sizes. The way the boot works is it clamps from the back (Step in) top front position is adjustable with 4 ratchet style fasteners.
$200 takes it home. OR $125 for just the board.

Any specific manufacturers your looking into
Have run Burton for about 3 years. Looking at Rome, Sims and Technine mostly.
Shannon
Of those three i would go with rome.
I like that choice. Every person I know that has run Rome swears by them. I will keep a lookout. Thanks for the heads up.
Still heading to the expo either way.

stick with burtonnnnnnn
How so, have you ridden a board with channel?
Nope, never wanted to buy a board that would limit my options as to which bindings I would be able to use. Also I will take 4 screws holding me onto a board over the "transition kit" that you would probably suggest which has 2 screws with channel like adapters on the bottom.

Play around with that for a bit.
i know you guys hate on Sports Authority and whatnot, I don't know where Holliston is, but the Woburn, MA sports authority has all 2011/2010 clearance snowboarding equipment 1/2 off. My brother got a 160 sims board originally $380 (msrp) marked at $99, bindings marked at $49, and boots marked at $89 all 1/2 off. Total cost w/ tax was $127. That might be an option, of course SA doesn't have much high end stuff, he doesn't board often and he only got it because all the stuff were marked down and the cost for him renting would have been more than that every time he goes.
