    First Gen SV650 stator and rotor

    I need a stator and rotor assembly for a first gen SV650.

    If you're racing, you really don't. You can even remove the stator and rotor to save both weight and rotational mass. It causes the motor to spin up quicker.

    Been running total loss since I got the bike in 2008 and all you need is a good battery and a tender to put it on once you get in from the track.

    That is what I currently have. I will save you from the thesis of why I need to try stock again to see if that fixes the electrical horror show I had all year.

    I had some issues as well. Mainly having to replace ignition coils (did that twice) and had the resistor in my ignition go just before my last scheduled race last season.

    I have since bypassed the ignition and opted for better batteries this coming season and we'll see how it goes. I also picked an extra battery, just in case.

    I bought my spare sets from eBay and SVRider.com. Less than $30 per set.
