    Need R6 Parts...

I need to get my bike sorted for next weekend's track days...
I will order Monday if I can't find any used stuff, but thought I would put it out there to see if anyone has some parts kicking around.

    For a "99-2002 R6, I need:

-right side OEM clip-on (or a set of 43 mm Woodcrafts or other aftermarket clip-ons that would fit)
    -left side engine cover
    -subframe

I am also looking for street plastics (don't need within the week but would like to buy ASAP):

    -front cowling(red)
    -tank in good condition
    -tail section
    -undertail

    OR

track plastics and a couple miles of safety wire

If it's max salvage you cannot pick up. There were bunch of parts I would've "bought now" but they refused to accommodate after a couple of messages. But if the price is right, game on.

you're better off spending the extra coin into getting the Woodcraft clip-ons and case covers. more $$ up front, but will save you time and money if you need to replace them from a crash. clip-on bars are like $15 each and come off with 2 bolts. case covers have a skid plate that's really cheap to replace if you wreck it. but honestly, i've never known anyone to need to replace their skid pads

I don't think the NRC covers come with a skid plate, and unfortunately Woodcraft does not make them for my year bike. I will get some Woodcraft clip-ons Monday, am just really short on $ and wanted to see if anyone had a spare right side. Getting my bike sorted for next weekend=not paying rent unfortunately.

Huh.... I will call. I picked up their new catalog at the track yesterday, and they only had them listed for '03 R6's and up, and first gen R1's.

I will definitely look into it....

A little less gimpy today. Wrenched on the bike most of the day with Greg, guest appearance by Bergs

And of course the more I take apart the more I need to fix

I thought my exhaust was just a bit tweaked, but it seems that the 1/4 inch the end plate on the midpipe side buckled, caused part of the baffle to rip out which sucks.
But, I have a new subframe, $15 case cover, and some used clip ons shipping in from PA (WERA rocks!!!! ) and should be getting the rest of the parts from Duncanmoto. I will also be using a plentiful amount of zipties. I'm very tempted to pick up some track plastics I've been eyeing and safety wire the thing up to finish the season.
I was also hellbent on diagnosing why my throttle got stuck wide open Friday. The cables had all been replaced, and well lubed so I wasn't sure what the issue was. It turns out that the stock clip on was most likely tweaked from a prior owners get off, as there was some weird wear on the clip on and inside of the throttle tube. The minute the clip on was off, the throttle snapped back like a champ, and continued to do so with a woodcraft clip on as well. Sooo... there was no way I could have known, but I'm glad it is sorted at this point to go back on track over the weekend.
