Hey guys looking for track gear really need some gauntlets please let me know thanks everyone!
What sizes are you looking for?
The older I get the Faster I wuz
medium sorry probably should've put that in
Good to hear you're looking at A) gear and B) track days! By gauntlets you mean track gloves? I have (too) many pairs but all are large or extra large. Many brands fit differently and have weird sizing, definitely worth checking brand's websites and measuring your hand, then try some out. Just like helmets and boots, riding in them may uncover issues you wouldn't notice with just putting them on.

Whats the best track for price/experience in your guys opinion? I was gonna look and do a weekend at the NYST on one of there rookie days cause with a membership it would only be $300 for the weekend thoughts??
If you can ride Loudon well, you can ride any track lol.
Nyst is really nice
Palmer is fun as hell

I think I saw a couple of people selling all their stuff in our facebook group (bikes, gear, etc). Feel free to join and post up there if you don't find the items elsewhere.

As for tracks, I wouldn't worry too much about which track if you've never ridden any track. How good your first day goes is usually more dependent on which organization you ride with - and whether or not you crash on day one. Almost all first timers that stay on two wheels have a great time and come back for more - and it's the subsequent days that you really start learning how to ride better/faster/safer.
While you will learn a little on your first day... usually the biggest thing you learn is how much there is to learn.

@TTD Thank you for the advice and insight wrecking on my first day is honestly my biggest fear at this point just because I don't have a dedicated track bike at this point cause I am only 21 so don't have a bunch of extra cash laying around hahaha. I have a track suit right now however it is torn up and needs repairs I am 6" 190lb can I just stich up the wholes and will it be passable for a track day? I was thinking of doing a track weekend at NYST and do it on their rookie weekends that way with a membership and two track days should only run me $300 which is very cheap compared to other tracks and memberships
Somewhere on here you can find contact info for a guy in Fall River that apparently does good leather work (I have never used him). I think his name is Roberto. NYST member days are the wild west, you will be MUCH better off with any of the other orgs for your first day. TTD and Fish Tail are the best for first timers, IMO.
Yeah but at the same time I don't know if I can afford the $525 membership to TTD on top of the $200-$300 for a track weekend that's all. Also if anyone on here has any info on someone who is willing to repair leather please either DM me or just post here thank you I live in Burlington VT if that helps with the search hahha thanks everyone love this place!

You don't need the membership to sign up with TTD. The "membership" just means you get $100 off the regular price for each day, so if you do more than 5 days, it saves you money in the long run.
Check with your local leather and shoe repai places. Many of them will be able to repair split seams and such. For larger repairs, I would hit up that Roberto guy, Lizzy Leathers, or even Todd at Heroic.
okay I will look at my local shops and look into using TTD any other recommendations for a good track to start on for my first day?
It's doesn't matter. Pick something that's close and has a good date for you. Organizations like TTD or Penguin will walk you through the basics. There is a ton of info o line for the first track day rider too. Key points are to get rest before it, make sure your bike is mechanically tight (good/new brake pads and tire's, no leaks, etc.) and listen to what the coaches are saying. If you do all that it should be a good day.
Roger that thanks a lot guys! love this community no boasting or anything like that or douchey comments! ill keep researching on first time track ridding again thanks everyone!
