I know a bunch of guys on here cut and process their own firewood, I'm hoping someone can hook me up with a few slices. The bigger the better. The missus has her heart set on something like this:

I had about a hundred trees cut down recently and might still have a few that fit the bill if you want to drive out, take a look, and cut what you need. No pine, but a lot of Oak and Maple. We've had several people coming to take wood so not sure what is left or how long it will be around for.
Whereabouts are you? I don't have a chainsaw, that's part of the problem.
I live just east of Springfield in Palmer, MA. I have a chainsaw, but it hasn't been fired up in a couple of years, so no promises if you want to borrow it.![]()
Your going to want to let the log sit and dry out before cutting rounds like that.
My neighbors just cut down a bunch of trees. I can ask them for a log or two and I also live right next to Springfield in Chicopee

Thanks guys. It looks like there might be a sawmill in the area that I'm going to reach out to tomorrow but if I can't find anything nearby I'll be in touch.
If you don't have any luck, I have a bunch of trees to cut soon that were killed by gypsy moths. Range from oak to spruce and even a few red cedar. Plenty to choose from scattered over 150 acres. I'm in western RI

Honestly I don't care what kind of wood it is, I just need to slap something together that will hold cupcakes for a wedding in two weeks.
Or else I'm a dead man.
From your original picture , looks to be about 36 inch circumference on the bottom , down to 30 then 20 .
I have all those sizes rounds , how many cup cake displays you need ?

Have two sections like this, roughly 30", at Mount Sunapee.
But my chainsaw is only 16" bar, not sure we could get you perfect slices. And not sure what smaller pieces we have.

I've got what I need, thanks all.
