Anyone got a 30-30 lever action kicking around that they want to sell. NH only please as I don't want to have to go through the whole interstate gun dealer bullshit.
What you got?

Reason for wanting a 30-30? Don't get me wrong, pretty cool rifles and all. But if you are looking for the mystique of a lever action, there are other (read as cheaper to shoot) alternatives out there in lesser calibers. I have a 94 and a 9422, not looking to part with either. Good luck!
I have a 30-30 lever action that's older than dirt. BY FAR the funnest gun *I own* to shoot. No, it's not for sale. Just wanted to tell you how much I love my old tank. Thousands of rounds through the ol' bitch, about 80% shitty reloads - never had a misfire or jam that I can recall. It's an old Mossberg that was rebadged so Westernfield (Montgomery Ward) could sell 'em. They sold so damn many of 'em that Mossberg supposedly cancelled the contract with Westernfield so they could sell them themselves. Or something...

Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
My 2 most favorite guns I've shot 30-30 and a 32 winmag. Good luck, if you find more than 1 or it's in MA, let me know.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
I want a 30 30 cuz it's by far my most favorite deer weapon. I think I am just going to buy a new marlin 336w and be done with it

The calculus of hate
It is not that I should win it is that you should lose
It is not that I succeed it is that you fail
It is not that I should live it is that you should die
I will trade a model 742 remington 30-06 as a partial trade.
I only bring this up in case you can't find what you're looking for in time for the season...
I Picked up a Ruger American last wk in a 308. Tossed a Nikon Monarch 3 scope on it and out the door it was like $740 I think, with the free scope mounting and bore sighting (Cabelas in Scarborough, ME).
I know what you mean about the 30-30 though. My buddy has a lever action Mossberg 30-30 and it's really fun to shoot.

Just heard back from my brother. He had one earlier this summer but sold it. Sorry.
Thanks for checking. I will just use grenades this year.
What's your budget? You want something NICE or something that can just take a deer at up to 100 yards?
If you want to consider something exotic, let me know =)

I thought about asking you mike. I am looking for a 100 yard compact deer gun. Where I hunt 50 yds is a long shot. If I were to buy new I don't want to spend more than $500. A marlin 336w is 450 brand new.

Dicks sporting goods has the Marlin 336 on sale next week for $399.98 (starting on the 6th.) I'm researching 30-30 lever actions myself and have heard great things about the pre remington Marlins...but not the greatest things about them since being bought out by Remington. Let me know how you like it. That price is very attractive (compared to say a Winchester 94)
If you can't Race it or take it to bed, it's not worth having..
There's a Winchester 94 with the offset scope mount and a scope at Rileys for $450 I believe. Or maybe $500.
There were a couple Marlin 336's, they were also in the 450-500 range, in 30-30 and .444, a few also in .44 mag.
If you're hunting 100 yards or less, a .44 mag works just fine too. I've got a Winchester 94 trapper, 16" pipe in .44 mag, it's got two deers on it. The first piled where it stood.
Did you end up getting one? I just picked up a Henry .30-30...
