My mom is dead set on buying a scooter. Does anyone have any good/reliable scooters for sale? She's looking to spend as far under $800 as possible.
She keeps getting tempted by the super cheap Chinese brands, I'm trying to get her to hold out for a better one.
If anyone has any scooters they want to sell, or a lead on a good one please let me know!

Why do I not believe that.I own a new scooter, a Velocity MP50-01 .. It has ZERO miles on it and has never been driven : ) I've never even put a drop of gasoline in it. I am selling it for $900 FIRM. The engine is 50cc's and it gets around 90 MPG. It has the powerful 4 stroke engine. It also has high performance hydraulic ABS disc brakes Electric start and a kick-start for back-up. There is room for two with passenger foot rests It also features a remote alarm system. I have the clean & clear title for it..... Probably just a pressure limiting system?

The 'ABS' system they're referring to is essentially a shock absorber bladder Tee'd off the caliper's brake lines. If you're familiar with water hammer arresters, it's the same thing scaled down.
Edit: Just googled hoping to find one of the sites that sells the modules for 'aftermarket abs upgrades' and found a writeup by someone that took one apart: http://scootdawg.proboards.com/index...y&thread=20920 SLIGHTLY more sophisticated than I thought, still not real ABS.
