WTB - dirt scooter

I've been passively looking for a replacement dirt bike for a while, basically waiting for a great deal to fall into my lap. That hasn't happened, and I got invited to go on a big ride this weekend, so I'm kind of scrambling this week to see if I can find something.

Basically looking for a reliable beater. Under $2500 would be great. Trail or MX bike. Basically anything over 200cc and water cooled is on my radar. I'm a 2 stroke guy, but would consider the right 4 stroke.

Plated '99 KTM 300 EXC. Oldie but a goodie. Original owner, good mods. I'm happy with it!
