Well here it is, November and I'm already excited about my first track day. I was going to use my FZR600 as my track/street bike, but I've decided to just pony up the dough and get a dedicated track bike. Anything worth doing is worth doing to excess, right?
Here's what I'm looking for:
-SV650
-Any 600cc supersport
-Honda Hawk (maybe)
I don't care if the plastics are a little beat up, it doesn't have to be a championship winning bike, and title doesn't matter (it most likely won't see the street). I would much prefer a bike that's already set up for the track (i.e. safety wired, track fairings, etc.) I want to spend $2500 max on this bike. Anyone with any leads, or any bike they would like to sell, please post up here or PM me and we can talk. Thanks for your help!
go the extra $500

good guy, good bike, good buy !
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...48-01-GSXR-750 -> Slightly bigger than you wanted, and setup for street
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...For-Sale-Maine -> Under budget, setup for street
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...ace-Track-Bike -> Slightly over budget, but otherwise exactly what you asked for
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...2004-Ninja-636 -> Slightly over budget, track only
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...heels-rains-2k -> Hawk, so it needs work like they all do
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...rack-Bike-2800 -> Slightly over budget, setup for track
http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...Race-Bike-2800 -> Slightly over budget, it's a Hawk so it needs TLC like they all do
Thanks for the help guys. I've seen a lot of those bikes on here and they all look really nice. I can't spend over $2500 though, that's my limit. I shouldn't even be doing this as it is, but the motorcycle addiction has its hooks into me lol. I was looking at some of the Hawks but I'm pretty unfamiliar with them.
EDIT: Jimmy, I'll PM you, thanks.
Give this a try... NESR for sale forum

who know's that extra $500 could be negotiable too.. everything is
Make sure you budget for tires and misc extra stuff. I'd set aside $300 min. But your budget should be no problemo.
I have a 98 gsxr 600 for 1500. It has a penske, and revalved/ sprung forks with 0 miles, rearsets, and beat up fiber body work. It runs but there is something wrong. It may need a carb tune or a motor. Either way it's cheap.
