my pitbull trailer restraint system just showed up, and after mocking it up in the house, i have to say this thing is pretty sweet. the picture above really doesnt give it justice on how heavy duty it is. installation will be really easy. just 4 holes i need to drill in the trailer. definitely a 2 person install, unless you have rediculously long arms or are creative.

If anyone wants to see it, come find my trailer during the races this weekend

I had a steel plate put on the underside of mine to help brace it...whne the trailer rocks around all the forces are transferred to the stand and floor so it does put quite a stress on it.....mine is the strapless tranport but same idea.

That is sweet...
+1 you better not just be bolting that bitch down with washers under your wood floor of your trailer.
I would get some nice thick flat stock and install that to help disperse the force.
I have seen one of these types of restraint systems work and it get put under a lot of stress.

How does it attach to the swing arm? I cant really figure that out. What does the black bungee cord do?

nice looking setup, Why ever would you need a new setup for trailering your bike?![]()
so last night i went to install the stand and found that my right side pin was too big. So i sent a email last night and they asked that i call them today. So i called and left a message for the guy. while waiting i took out my Vernier and measured the pin and the hole in my axle. When he called back i gave him the info and my pin was slightly too big, but the hole in my axle is smaller then they had measured. so they took my measurements and i have a new custom pin on its way free of charge. He also said that they had the same problem with the 1098. that ducatti switched suppliers and the rear axles were a different size, so that may be a part of the problem is that suzuki switched axle suppliers. who knows, only suzuki.

Where did you get the pitbull trailer restraint? I've been looking around for the best "tie-down" system, and so far, this seems to be it. I'm just not thrilled about spending 270 on it... especially when I need to get 3 for my trailer.
Hope you weren't holding your breath for Scotties post.
Boston Moto carries all the PitBull stuff at decent prices...
