Important: Mototeck has been sold!
Please note that effective for 2008, Mototeck has been sold to another company called Rack in Motion. DBConz - How do you like the Mototek undertail as far as the lighting goes? Bright, not bright? I need an undertail for a 00-03 GSXR 750 (same as 01-03 600 and 01-02 1000).
Does yours look the same as one of these made by the Rack in Motion?

mine looks like the top one.
the LEDs for the directionals are NOT bright at all during the day.
the 1157 LED red bulbs they supply in the kit suck. for $15 go to AutoZone and get the JamStraight bulbs. i've had them in my truck for 5 years now and they work amazing for brightness and longevity.
one drawback to mototeck is they are no longer in business, so you wont be able to order replacement parts, like LED boards for your directionals.
overall, i wouldnt drop $330 for an undertail, but i do really like this kit. the one thing that seperates this kit from the others is the bright white LED at the end for the license plate. since i dont have my plate there, it lights up my rear tire.
and just anthis thread was the 1st thing I put on NESR. only place i got a legit answer (and fast), which kept me posting on here.
if you need a hand with the undertail, let me know. i've re-wired mine more than i care to admit.
Rack in Motion sells that undertail for $160. It looks identical...?
Good to know that a replacement 1157 bulb drops in. I see the integrated plate lights...would the plate mount bolt up just behind the turn signal lights?
the only way i could tell the difference between some other brands on eBay and Mototeck was the 1 white LED at the tip of the undertail for the plate light. It's really bright, and you wont have a need for additional lighting if you mount your plate under that LED.
My bike came with a side mounted plate on the passenger peg, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about mounting locations on that undertail kit. You will have to trim a small bit near the battery to make it fit, but i'm sure you know that goes with any aftermarket undertail kit.
well i dont think i'll ever catch up to stoner or oreo. and i have a feeling my post count will get erased if i catch up to denno
did you ever find replacement LEDs? I just put a set on mine. They dont fit like the stock ones that come with the mototeck kits. They fit to the outside or you could drill out the holes to fit them snug if thats your thing. They are a ton brighter and thats what I was going after.
These are the ones I got.
